Hey I love these studies, some somber Bambi vibes coming from the first tone study! Are you using "Transfer" with your brushes (pressure controlling the opacity)? I think it would help soften some of the edges, particularly in the colour landscape with the foliage on the left.
Incidentally where are you life drawing these days?
I'm not at the Malls this year, I decided to pay extra and go to Lavender Hill on wednesdays for better lighting.
